Giada De Laurentiis for Target

I was recently at Target and came across Giada De Laurentiis‘ new cookware and specialty food line with Target. The product line was designed affordably for everyday cooking while maintaining both great product and graphic design. I loved the pasta packaging design it simple yet fun in color and type choices reflecting Giada’s brand.

Williams Sonoma

I went to Williams Sonoma recently and came across this beautifully designed BBQ sauce packaging. The typography treatment is what drew me to these bottles immediately. I am assuming it tastes as good as the type looked. I also thought it was clever to display them in a basket in the store to give it a summer,
BBQ, picnic feel.

Le Vigne

This morning I was reading am New York and came across this article about Le Vigne a West Village wine shop that has been designed on a budget but with a strong concept. The materials used were from Good will and The Salvation Army but were designed in such a way that this space is a masterpiece. I love the way the interior of this store looks and the presentation of the wine. The design team that made this happen is MADLAB a design firm based in Montclair, NJ.

Usually I never take flyers people are handing out in the city. I guess I’m just used to someone trying to shove something in my face which usually is poorly designed saying things like FREE on them in gaudy type.  However for some reason I grabbed one the other day from Ricky’s. I found this interesting product help! on the card. Help Remedies uses a simplistic aproach in their concept as well as there design. By making the approach simple to solve simple health problems they hope to make people less fearful. The product appears friendly and more accessible to the consumer help making their health decisions with ease. Ricky’s stores in NYC currently have very interesting window displays showing the simplicity and uniqueness of help and how it differs from clinical products on the market.

Street Sweets

I walk outside today and see this eccentric bright colored food truck with great typography. Street Sweets food truck has croissants that you can choose any filling from almond butter to nutella, cookies, cupcakes, quiches, scones, muffins, danishes and many more treats! Everything is beautifully designed from their truck, business card and to-go packaging. Sweet Treats is currently on 57th and 8th. You can follow them on twitter for where the truck will be.

Finally Back!

Bobby’s Burger Palace

Last week I went to one of my favorite chefs, Bobby Flay’s restaurant Bobby’s Burger Palace. The signage was very bold and popped. The interior design of the restaurant was very modern and stylish. And of course my blue cheese burger was delicious along with my sweet potato fries. Little did I know Pentagram designed this identity system and restaurant interior.

Andrews & Dunham Damn fine tea!

I came across the Damn Fine Tea packaging and fell in love with it! They are all well designed and have a feel but all excellently designed. They were designed by Aesthetic Apparatus a design firm in Minnesota.

Kingdom Animalia

I came across Kingdom Animalia via The Dieline. I really loved the packaging design and concept behind Kingdom Animalia The boxes were offset printed and made from recycled cardboard. Enormous Champion in Brooklyn, NY designed these and also design and sell stationery, cards, prints and many other cool things.
