The Peter Tunney Experiment

The other day I was walking on 5th Avenue and came across this interesting gallery space. I wasn’t sure what this was at first. Peter Tunney is using this space 666 5th avenue on 52nd street to display his interesting collaged pieces of newspapers, books, magazines, etc. with dramatic typography. The Peter Tunney Experiment is a working studio and gallery so you may see him working amongst his work. His work reminded me very much of David Carson’s as it had a California feel to it. It made me think of San Diego instantly.

Art on Record/APW Gallery

I attended the opening night “Art on Record” at the APW Gallery in Long Island City, Queens. A friend of mine Sarah Panetta submitted her records which are in the above image along with the other submissions. Feel free to check out her work and the other submissions.

Deitch Projects

A friend of mine introduced me to Deitch Projects, a contempary art gallery founded by Jeffery Deitch. Check out there website as you will see the awesome exhibits going on and their locations. I am definitely going to check this out.
